The location of the hotel is excellent, as it is close to the library and within walking distance to the Barter Theater. the rooms are beautifully decorated with antique furniture and paintings, providing a cozy atmosphere. the bathroom is modern and nicely updated. the service is exceptional, with courteous and helpful staff. Breakfast, included in the stay, is delicious and served in a lovely restaurant.
It is disappointing that the hotel does not offer late-night snacks or a vending machine, especially considering the price of the rooms and the size of the facility.

The hotel is conveniently located, close to everything and nestled in the mountains. Guests can enjoy the mini golf course and explore the beautiful grounds. The rooms are comfortable and spacious, with amenities like a pool, exercise room, and library. The restaurant serves excellent food, including a delicious breakfast off the menu. The front porch with rocking chairs and the historic charm of the hotel make for a relaxing stay.

Beautiful hotel, grounds, amenities. Would definitely stay again. My one suggestion for improvement - get a better brand of coffee. What was served in the dining room was awful!
Amenities , location, proximity to Barter Theater!

We stayed over Christmas and the decorations were beautiful! the location was perfect, right in the heart of town and close to shops and restaurants. the staff was friendly and accommodating.
The room was overly small and cramped. the bed was uncomfortable and the pillows were flat.

Stayed here for New Year's and had a great time. The rooms were spacious and beautifully furnished with period furniture. The grounds were well-maintained and had a lovely garden and play areas for children. The glass-roofed pool and spa area were a definite highlight. The food was delicious, and the bar had a cozy and inviting atmosphere. The late-night sherry in the library was a nice touch.
While the overall experience was positive, there were a couple of drawbacks. The dining options were limited and on the expensive side.

We spent New Year's Eve at a beautiful historic hotel and had a great time. The staff was friendly and provided us with complimentary breakfasts and free shuttle service to nearby attractions. The location was ideal, just a short walk to the town center. We also enjoyed the heated pool and comfortable amenities.
Although we enjoyed the provided complementary breakfasts, the menu options were somewhat limited. Additionally, the hotel room we stayed in lacked proper soundproofing, which made it challenging to sleep at night due to noise from the neighboring rooms.
